Deighton Into-Sport Project has successfully run a Saturday Football (skills) Club for young people
(5 – 16 years old) every week since 2003 with local coaches and players.
Recently we have been rewarded for all the hard work and credibilty of our coaches by an influx of younger members. We now have players as young as five years of age who are remarkably skilful for their age. We now boast over 200 junior members within our club. Our weekly register shows between 80 and 90 regular members, and an average attendance of 60.
We now have ten quality locally developed coaches, lead by McKenley Taylor, Jason Hamilton, Dominic Webster, Aaron Joseph & Dwight Noel, most of whom have been qualified as a result of grants made by us to fund the cost of their development for the commitment shown.
